Simply amazing.... amazing!
Background 07 Apex RTX with stock skis and triple points, shimmed etc... always ran fine on hard pack, and icy trails. But this year snow conditions are so different I was having a hard time NOT blowing through corners. The stock skis just couldnt cut it, and wife was having similar issue on her Apex LTX.
So I ordered 2 sets of trail skis with shaper bars.
She loves them comments on how much more in control she feels and ease of steering, every stop she was talking them up to everyone. Hell I dont even think she knew the name of them but would tell everyone.
I love them as well, where they really shine is in the corners when the snow is all blown apart and the stock skis would just slide sideways. These just grip and rip. They are very smooth but can get control and get you through the corners very quickly. Wether I go into them very hard and make the skis work or nice easy corner they work each and every time. I didnt know it would be possible to slide a 240 picked track sideways but these skis will grab enough of the loose snow to do it. It did make me change my riding style some, but man I do love these.
Now I havent had anything other than stock so i cant say if they are better than this or that. But I can say many commented on the looks and I kept commenting on the ride.
One con is putting them on - if you shim the front (yes the front) they are a real pain. Even unshimmed they take a good deal of messing around, the rubber is much mroe dense and much bigger. I think some type of bolt with the smaller leading edge/tape (sorry dont know what they are called) would be very good for these.

Glad you got them installed and had a chance to ride them. I have the red/black flame combo on mine and really like the look! These work as well as my old C@A Pros, but with much lighter steering. Enjoy the rest of your winter

Are you guys running the ski savers? If so did you lose any top end?

Race Ski, not shimmed, no ski saver. Love them much better than stock ones. Black with blue swirls.
