My new skis are arrivng today. I was just wondering for those who have added them, are their any tips to adding them to my attak. I have read that they should be TOED-IN 1/8" to neutral (not toed out as usual). Other than that do they bolt right on? I ordered the Race Ski with 7.5" shaper-bars, not the Powderhounds as I trail ride & also would have been a tight fit on my trailer. Thanks.

They bolt right on. You can use the original barrel spacer, even the same bolt, if you want. I greased mine up well before attaching. You may need to spread the saddle a little. The rubber block they supply is different than the Yamaha block, and it supplies more heel pressure which is the prescribed cure for darting. It does require some compression to get the skis on. I mounted mine while the sled was up on the lift table, so I used a big "C" clamp to compress the rubber block enough to get the bolt to line up and slide through. It would also work well to mount the ski, then lower the front to re-weight the ski in order to get the holes to line up.blackattak said:My new skis are arrivng today. I don't know about toe-in. They might have mentioned something about that, but I didn't bother with any of that stuff. I have about 700 miles on the skis, on hard pack, deep loose trails, and deep powder. No darting, no problems.

I have the powderhounds with 6 inch standard bergstroms that I bought through Ulmer racing. Allan said to set the toe at zero. mine was set at 1/16 in and I had great results with the setup. I know have a set of 6inch shapers that I installed for this weekend because bergstroms is so hard to get a hold of.

Skis just arrived. Came with Ski & loop, carbides, rubber block & the bolt thru the ski. Hopefully that is all that is needed!!!
Sled is at dealer having the issue I had with rear exchanger rectified (I hope, see my post on this topic) & will drop off skis in the morning to let them put them on. Think the neutral to a 16th inch is what I`ll likely do unless someone has better idea here tonight.
Then I may have to drive 1-2 hrs this weekend as the rain & thaw really hurt our conditions. Northern N.B. though had 5 feet of snow so will still be good there.

Well had them put on toed in between 1/8th inch neutral. Put 60 miles on them today & they are far superior to the stock. Sled corners much better & the harder I go into the turns the easier they are to steer. Easy steering effort & better cornering!!!!. Also the sled felt as if it was riding much smoother as well. Didn,t shim them but very little hunting (if any). VERY PLEASED with this addition. No powder in out area right now. This is all hard packed trail running.
