Tell me what is the best set up for these skis? Toe in? Out? Straight up?

I haven't actually received the skis yet, just ordered them yesterday but was wanting some set up information. I know some people want them toed in?

I ordered the race skis with 7.5" shaper bars.

I was thinking about the C&A skis because that is the only ski I have ever rode with, but I don't really hear much talk on those skis for a NYTRO.

Thanks for any info,

Dustin

I ran the slydogs all last year with 3/8" ski savers and bergstrum triple point carbides and tried the toed in as recommened and then a 1/4" toe out and finally a full 1/2" toe out and found that that definitely ran the best for me with the 1/2" toe out.

Last season I ran the same ski/bars with neutral toe-in/out and it worked pretty well. I just installed a set of 8" tripple points with ski savers and shims and had the lower ball joint update done .... I have only ridden a few miles so far and won't play with the toe-in until we get more snow, but seems pretty good so far.

I ran Slydogs last season with 9" Stud Boy shaper bars and studs and they were too aggressive for hardpack conditions. I didnt think the Slydogs were particularly good or bad. They were light and flexible but I liked the stock skis better for hardpack conditions. The Slydogs were better for off trail riding but less aggressive than C&A's.

I wouldn't purchase another set.
