I see Yamaha has two diffrent lenghs snow flaps one is 16 inches and the other is like 12.5 inches. Just wondering if anybody tried the shorter snow flap? I was thinking it might help with the ice up problem? I all ready know who ever is behind me in not gonna be happy!!! .
I have been told it is a rock throwing machine gun!

It might but I would think it also may cause more issues for people following...the 16" isn't long enough IMO. I also think a long one would allow snow to be carried up the track and into the front heat exchanger aiding in cooling..again JMO

I did the longer flap because my skids really like to throw the stuff, it is mainly due to the back sitting higher than a stock skid and missing the flap altogether. I bought the Skins flap and I think it was something like 20 inches. Now the snow should stay in the tunnel and cool the sled better.
