So who offers the best-looking snow flap? It’s a detail we don’t think about much, but it adds a lot of character to the sled when combined with the right accessories. Pix and details would be appreciated here guys.

I saw an Artic-Cat Sno-Pro with a CAT gravel hauler mud flap trimmed up on both sides, and he painted the CAT green. had a 2in track, goes with the sled well, thick heavy flap sled looked bossy .there is a shop i think that do custom flaps, whatever you want. ;)!

Skins is coming out with a new design this fall. Their current design is pretty plan. I know sled solutions is going to carry it and has a picture of it.

Paul, from Sled Solutions, should have some at the Novi show. They have pictures of them in the new SnowGoer Mag, and they really look good. They come in a short, an long model, black in color.

Thanks for the lead on the new Skinz flap. That's more in line for what I'm after. The original Skinz flap looks more like a mud flap on a logging truck!

Funny I was thinking that I would have been better off with a flap from a rig then the Skinz previous design.

Skinz Snowflap

Well after looking at the new Skinz snowflap on line I ordered one through my local supplier. For the $80 I spent on it I was more than just a little disappointed. The material they used to mold the flap reminded me of the serving tray they use to serve lunch to middle school kids! The flap and I parted ways and I am now the proud owner of a stock Yamaha flap.

If Skinz would have built their flap with a more pliable material, we would have lived happily ever after. Just my 2 cents!

I had a trade worked out with sled solutions at the local snow show and once I saw the newer one I kept the old flap. Sorry if I had remembered I would have warned you.

No worries! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the new Skinz flap is a disappointment. The flap looks cool on-line, but in person looks like it could be used as a snow shovel. For the price they are charging they should offer a handle attachment so I can shovel my driveway!
