Looks as if mother nature may bless us a bit earlier this year! It has been much too long since I had the opportunity to actually ride on opening weekend. Is anyone planning on making the trip to the U.P. this weekend to sneak in some early season miles? Can anyone in the U.P. give us an update on conditions and what trails may be in the best shape? Snow reports say there is 4-8" now depending where, and they are forecasting up to 8" more in the next 48 hours for most of the eastern U.P. I am thinking of planning a ride from the Strongs area up to Paradise, west to Grand Marais, and back. The question is, is there enough snow???
I 'd like to know as well. I doubt I could get up there any time soon, but I would like to try if theres some decent snow.
I sure hope they get everything groomed in good and have a solid base before a ton of sleds hit the trails. Be nice for those of us who go up later in the season if the base is setup properly. Maxdlx
