It's that time of year again.Any predictions. Last years best stock runs are posted below.I have to tell you my apex feels a half second and at least 5mph faster than my 05RX1 did stock.I think we could have a new king.I do know big moose will slow them down like they do every year in the dealer prep runs so forget about winning that one.
ZR9-9.85-97.19
FUSION-10.102-91.84
RX1-10.216-92.98
MACHZ-10.009-97.199(tied zr)
I think these times and speeds were in 1000 ft.

Isn't that this weekend? It will be interesting, and I am still amazed they let Big Moose get anywhere near those sleds, given their talent for making them slower every year.....

It is Friday Dec. 9th in Woodgate. If my prediction is right there should be plenty of snow on the ground for the shoot-out this year. Maybe I'll finally be able to ride my sled there instead of driving my car there.

Big Moose Yamaha will find a way to slow down the Apex. They are terrible in preping up their sleds for the shootout! I have gone the past 4 years and this will be my first year of not going. It's really too bad these guys even represnt Yamaha at such a popular event.

I don't think Amsnow sponcers this event anymore. I think it's Snow week now.
correct amsnow does not run it anymore, its a very well known fact that D&D sets up the cats for bigmoose.... a few years ago they looked very stupid when they couldnt even get the yamaha's started at the line....maybe they should give up and let someone else run them

LOL... in all seriousness, I think some of you Yami experts here should start emailing, snail mailing, or calling in some of your hot setup tips and suggestions to Big Moose right now – if that's "legal" of course! Sure as heck couldn't hurt, could it??? I'd LOVE to see the new Yamis have good showing this year as much as anybody! – Roy

I might be wrong but I think that Big Moose does not have any reason to make a Yamaha fast at the shootout. They will sell the same amount of Yamaha sleds no matter what the outcome. They might actually slow them down for this reason. If Big Moose sets up an Apex-GT and it wins by 5 sled lengths over the next fastest sled that day. Then you the consumer are going to hold Big Moose to that same performance. Big Moose is not in the performance business they are in the sled selling business and hope they only see you for oil and your next sled. Not for the fact that your friends F-7 beat you on the lake. I think we are a minority Yamaha consumer. Many more family's ride Yamaha's than we know of and that is the true target for Big Moose. D&D is a speed shop and if they don't win they might feel that in the wallet. Big Moose should not be allowed to setup a sled for a race because they have no incentive to win any races. Doug

If big moose is not in for the performance business than they have no reason representing Yamaha at the shootout. There are many other local dealerships that would be honored to represent yamaha at the shootout. Big Moose can't setup a sled period. Those of you who attended the shootout couple of years ago will never forget what a joke it was when they couldn't get the viper running.
I hope allen knows something we don't... Otherwise, Big Moose just give it up.
