I have made 3 trips to the Continental Divide area riding out of Crooked Creek and would like to consider trying the Snowies this year the 2nd week of February. For those that have ridden both areas, which would you prefer for the best boondocking? Suggestions on where to stay and ride from?

Let me know if you decide to head to the Snowy's. I do the majority of my riding there, and can help you out with suggestions.
As far as lodging goes - there are a ton of options
- Laramie has a bunch of hotels and is ~30 miles to unload at either the Albany or Greenrock parking areas
- Centennial is about 25 miles from Laramie on the way up there and has gas, food, and lodging
- Albany is right at the trailhead with gas, food, and lodging but is a further away from the big hill climbs than if you park at Greenrock, but is a better place to ride during a big storm (down in the trees - up top you need to watch conditions more carefully so you do not get caught in a whiteout)
- You can also stay on the west side (further drive around the mountain) Medicine Bow Lodge, the Place, and Rendezvous are all on the west side
What it really boils down to for most people planning trips to the Snowy's is whether or not they want to ride from their room/cabin. Once you figure that out, the choices can be narrowed down and you can start making phone calls.

I have rode both areas and I like them both. However I belive that there is a lot more diverse riding through out the Continental Divide area. From miles of trails, to miles of valleys, bowls, hills and mountains. Belive me, Im not knocking the Snowies, I like that area too. I can't wait to go back.

Hopefully there will be bottomless powder everywhere out west this season but if this winter ends up like last you may want to watch the weather and go where the snow is.
I have rode out of TML a few times and its been good, never been to the snowies but heard it was good as well.
