Snowmobile Lift

I am looking for recommendations for a snowmobile lift.

MarLift... They work awesome... 500.00 CDN delivered with the wheels... It will even lift an ATV. It was made for both. I believe it's rated for 1000lbs.

I've had a MarLift similar (no wheels) to SledFreak's for 10 years now, still going strong. Use it often.

If you have the cash buy a table lift. I had a snow mobile lift and they work great until you want to remove the skid. With a table lift you can buy the wings and the sled will drive right up on it. You then can lift the rear end with an electric hoist and pull the skid out at waist level. You can also use it for motorcycles. The downside is they take up more room and are heavy to move

MY neighbor and I split the cost on a Rec-Lift...I think we picked it up at a show for $175. It looks very similar to the Mar Lift and works great. I can't believe I ever did anything without it.

I built mine, by copying a buddies commercial one. It is a design similar to the Marlift with a boat winch to raise and lower it. It is made from a bunch of 1" square tubing. I't works fine, but takes up some space when not being used. I usually lean it standing up against a wall. I have thought about making another one using the plans here on TY that use a jack screw so I could raise and lower it with my cordless drill.

Replacement Wheels for Mar-Lift?

Has anyone had to replace the original plastic wheels on their Mar-Lift?

Somehow one of the rear (non-swivel) wheels broke in half on my lift.

Curious if anyone has found a replacement wheel that may be better than the orignals.

I see your in Michigan. There is a guy in the Grand Rapids area that builds heavy duty lifts with wheel kits. They cost $220.00 and are either black or red. They have a heavy duty jack and can by raised by hand crank or drill. I bought one in the fall and he posts them on Craigslist often. He sells out fast and recently posted some last week. I will try and find the posting and list it.

I use a 2 ton chain fall off the ceiling... able to lift the front or back is high as you want... absolutely amazing for putting skids back in.... makes it a 1 man job... raise and lower to put bolts right in. been doing it for years... i find its the easiest way to work on them.... as stated before these marlifts are good if your under the hood, so you dont need to bend over but the min you want to take your skid out you dead in th water...

Go on sportsmans guide i have 2 at 169 the price is great and they last one is three years old . I store the sleds on them in the summer and use them to work on them all the time.
