I think its a little funny, I am not sure they actually put many miles on them, the two Rushs i ride with both blow up in the middle of the winter with just under 2000 miles, wth? and one e-tek went also, this why i ride a yamaha even tho i am just down the road from the polaris plant. When you spend $10,000 on a sled the engines should last a lot longer but i suppose if you are not paying for them out of your own pocket it doesnt matter how long they last. Just my own thoughts on the matter.

lets keep an open mind here the doo did look impressive and it would be fun to try the rush. but we've probally all owed the doos and poos and had them rebuilt. thats why my last 4 sleds were yammies. love my apex just wish it would handle like my old 600 sxr. still working on that.

The 1200 Doo is a great sled. Thanks to Yamaha Doo was forced to come out with a performance 4 stroke. Yamaha is king when it comes to 4 stroke engines and Doo is king when it comes to light weight sleds that ride and handle awesome. Right now Doo has the better all around pkg and it shows when you compare them. Maybe this will be a big plus for future Yamahas. Just think what a great sled Yamaha would have if they get the weight down like the 1200 and figure out how to makes it handle. I think Yamaha already has the ride down pretty darn good with the mono shock. I would like to see Yamaha go that direction instead of taking an old chassis and sticking power steering and exhaust valves on it. To me this just adds more weight on a sled that is already too heavy.

Rode all the apex models and all the 1200 doo models. Yamaha hands down performer better, rode better, handled better, had more clean feeling strong power and much better sound.
To each thier own, but doo just disappointed me highly. The handled and ride and conrnering was horrible on the doos. The yamahas were spot on.
To me you really get what you pay for. The yamaha apex is alot more then the doo 1200's, even more then the cady gsx's, but the sled is ten times better in every catagory.
It wasnt even a slight difference to me, the yamahas really were a huge amount nicer sleds all around. I was a doo guy for years, im not going back.

Yep thats how I see it also. I have an 06 Apex, 08 Nytro, 08 XP and 09 1200 in my garage as I type this. I also rode all the 2011 Yamaha models. It wasn't even close as far as ride and handling goes. I won't tell you what sleds rode and handled better than the others because I don't want to start a pissing contest. Oh BTW I just ordered a 2011 1200 Renegade Xpkg yesterday. I'm still going to keep the Nytro, Apex and 09 1200 for next season. The XP is going down the road, I can't have anymore 2 strokes in my garage other than my chainsaws.

If you see it same as me then why did you order the doo?? Cause i basically said i thought the doo was junk, and the yamaha was top notch. Maybe you misunderstood me.

The Doo is junk!! They ride like crap and handle like hay wagons. They blow up and fall apart. I ordered another Doo because I want to keep my Doo to Yamaha ratio even. If I buy another Yamaha my doo will be out numbered 3 to 1. This way I'll have 2 Doos and 2 Yamahas in the garage and everybody will be happy.
