I have been reading for likt he last 3 hrs. i have yamaha stock skis with dual carbides. but i cant turn worth a crap with them and they dont cut. Is everyone happy with the pilots thinking about going with them cuz i like the way the look too in the white and black in the 6.9 So all i need is the skis and the rubber from slydogs right and everything else bolts in fine with no modifications. The pilots seem to be the only route to go to stay under $250 right?
Thanks

Where are you in CNY? I brand new set of 6.9's I will be trying out on my Nytro and if they don't cut it they will be for sale. Last season, ran C&A XT's with great results. However, would like to eliminate the steering effort this year while maintaining similar performance characteristics of C&A skis..

i am about 2.5 hrs north of u. Thats wut im trying to get something that handles like the c&a but so u dont have to put so much effort into steering it.

Check out Kimpex Arrow skis.. Not used as much as other aftermarket brands but perform as well as Pilot's if not better. Last time I priced out a set, they were $240. ;)!

Split Rail Skis

I was curious on what the price for the split rail skis was.... I have an 09 SE with Pilot 5.7 handles okay, and I've done all the adjustment tricks. If these split rails are what they are cracked up to be, it might just have me hanging onto this thing for another season....

Thanks

I have ridden Rob Wrightmans ( owner of Split Rails Skis ) 2010 Nytro and can say that the Split Rails skis work well on a Nytro..or any sled for that matter..but they really shine on a Nytro...I have C&As on my RTX and would gladly put a set of Split rails on...no darting, no pusing in the corners and son on...very nice ski.

Put in Yami mtn ski and reused my Duece runners. In soft snow a world of improvement. No riding on hard pack yet.

I just put about 550 miles on my XTX after installing Pilot 6.9's. I would say they made a big improvement over the stock skis as far as handling and darting. I am not very impressed with them in deep powder or losse snow though. They do help "float" the front of the sled, but they do not steer very well. I have 6" shapers in the center and 4" cheap carbides on the outside. I thought they would do better in powder as they come off Ski-Doo's mountain sleds. Does anyone have any ideas to make them handle better in the powder?
