Well i have Kachess under tunnel exhaust done.
Hartman tunnel ext. done last year.
MPI transfer enhancement kit done last year.
Just ordered a wwildchild from Kurt today.
I will order my Boss flatbottom highrise seat by Thur.
So should I get AVID or WAHL drivers?
(The ones I have on my V-MAX I got from Tom Hartm an do not know what
kind they are.)

Avid is suppose to be the ticket with boost - but they are spendy

I have used Whal bros drivers - no one sells Avids in Norway, Europe. So far the Whal bors have stood up to low boost, but after reading all posts about the Avid drivers - I pretty sure I will buy Avids next time.

I'm sure the Avid's are probably a stronger better driver but, One Avid driver costs what a pair of Wahl brothers drivers cost and my Wahl drivers are holding up just fine for me (without boost).

The Avids are strong as steel but it seems to me there was something about the Avid's that wasn't so hot (it may have been related to vibration)?

Maybe Jonnyrocket will pipe in here?

Either drivers will suit you well but, the Wahl's will leave you an extra $100 bill in your wallet to pay for a shovel pouch. LED taillight and custom monograming on your new seat.

Good luck

Well ordered my BOSS seat today with led light and shovel pouch
They said 3-4 weeks on delivery (we will see how that goes)

Good luck on the 3-4 week delivery from BOSS; it might happen this time of year. My highrise took 7 weeks in '05 (ordered in May). As for drivers; I have the MPI stage 1 SC kit and my wahls are holding up with my 2.52 pitch 162" track.

Well I have to get my wildchild and install it before I worry too much about the seat, besides it's not like the snow is here and pressing me to finish anytime soon #$%&* and about the driver I will more than likely go with Wahl's 3" pitch as I am putting a APEX 162x16 track in it

wahl,s will work fine I ran three years with 18-25 lbs of boost with mine with no problems, and all last year with my turboed nytro with no problems, I am selling the 7 tooth wahls I used last year going to 8 tooth if your interested.

do it once do it right!!!!!!!!!

do not use the maverick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please read my posts and you'll save yourself a good bit of frustration and loss performance.

if you're going to make your rx1 a mountain sled put on the camo extreme, the mods are not that bad and the performance makes it a great sled.

drivers i spent the money on avids and don't regret it. i'm not running turbo or super charger however given a deal on a system i just might and i didn't want to re-tear down the entire sled sled just to put on avids or a different track.

you'll need to look into clutching and gearing to spin the extreme, trust me it can be done on a budget and the sled will work well.

SC or front and rear suspension and new track

OK looks like I will have enough to either get the supercharger and clutching or timbersled bark buster with fox floats upfront and mountain tamer for an APEX in the rear(LOL), a new track and clutching

I want the power, but think I should do track and suspensions first. The power demon seems to be winning, help before I make the wrong choice

keep in mind i only ride trails to get to the powder and the steep and deep.

OH by the way i still have not got my seat from BOSS I am at 8 weeks now

my $0.02...

Well, gosh, let me think about that, tough to decide what I would do...

NOT! :) SC, in my humble opinion, would be the way to go.

my sled is an 03 RX1 mountain which I threw a ton of mods at last year:
162 Challenger w/ Cat M7 skid (different drop brackets)
under tunnel exhaust
BOSS flattop seat
Hartmann extension, Hartmann clutching (including Team roller secondary)
Rider forward/wild child post
Barkbuster front end

No doubt, it handles better, and I can definitely tell that I took another 80+ pounds off (did the lightweight battery and different skis the year before).

BUT
I was in Cooke last year, and rode BlgsRX-1mtn's supercharged 03 rx1. He has some lightweight stuff done to it, but I'd estimate 30# off at the most. I only took it a few times up a hill in some stupid-deep snow, but 1) easily outclimbed what I did on my sled, and 2) it felt just as light or lighter than my sled.

So, SC, all the way...

Good luck!

Throw more power at it that sound like it might work :flag:

Rod (Powder Nomad) is pretty close on the -30 lbs on my sled. It was close to -53 lbs by my calculations prior to the SC install. The SC added about 17 lbs to my sled with the heavier Odysee battery (I had the 5 lb 400Amp BatCap)it had and the additional weight over the stock intake; the rest of the weight came from adding the 162" fully clipped track rail extensions and 162" tunnel ext.

If you go SC; make sure you get a longer track (if you don't have one all ready)

Already have a 162x16 track and apex drop brackets on hand just need rail extention. How long of a rail extention did you use? around 5" is what I was thinking
I was going to put in Mountain Tamer suspention but that will have to wait till at least Feb.

The S/C is almost in maybe another hour or two

I can't remeber the exact lenght of my rail extensions. I bought the 151-162 track ext. kit from Mountin performance. It included the track, tunnel ext. and proper rail extensions. Their web site states a change from 141 to 151 requires 5.3" extensions
