Viper xtx le
Just like the title says????
Don't see anything mind blowing on the new and innovative side.
Was expecting/hoping for something new like straight from the factory installed turbo.
I see the xtx le of 15 is now a mix 141 and a 3 inch track for the mtx.....
Can that engine spin that track naturally aspirated??
Love this time of year BTW.
Can't wait to hear some discussion on these sleds.
Constructive criticism and positive/negative feed back welcome but no winers please!!!!
Lol!!

Surprise surprise, nothing new again.

The viper is awesome, tho old and no real change the apex and vector are still great sleds if that's your style, the Phazer is just old..get rid of it and bring in a new entry level $8000 sled and it'll sell, I'd buy a new 100 hp entry level sled for my wife for $8000 rather than spending $6k on a used nytro. Gotta face the facts that these high prices of new sleds are keep a lot of people out of the sport.

The Blue and White color scheme with the blue rails is the best looking Viper I've seen. The Fox coil clicker shocks might pan out to be a nice change. The Pantera 146 skid in the Viper was expected and will be liked by many.

This is what i thought would happen this year but oh well i guess. (i was hoping so bad that the 4 banger would be in the viper chassis.) i like the new blue and wight paint scheme looks awesome and there is a little more Yamaha in there with the performance dampener, i would like to see if it actually does something or it is just all talk. They are just trying to put something out there to compete with the skidoo t3 with the new 3" paddle on the mtxs. but coming off a 2006 apex i would like to see how the new suspension is and how that new 146 handles. I don't know what i think about how they replaced the stx dx with the 137 instead of the 141? Ever since last year when arctic cat brought out there new pantera 146 touring model i knew Yamaha would have it in there line up this year.

The 141 is still available in the XTX. Now you can get an STX with a 137 and 146. Considering most of them probably lived most of their life on the trail, this years coupled 146 option instead of the uncoupled 141 seems to be a wise move. I have heard nothing but good things about that skid.

Must be the new model is coming out when Cat announces next week. Looks like some nice refinements, but nothing groundbreaking.

I think the Doo release and the Yamaha release are another recognition of the fact that the entire sled market is dwindling in sales and profitability and therefore the R&D and corresponding excitement is all being spent in the ATV/side by side market.

All that said - I have grinned every single mile of the 1100 miles on my 2014 Viper. I won't worry about what's new until 2020 or so when this one is nearing the end of 5 year warranty.

So what do we have an inverted color scheme, a bobtail pantera, a tuner 3 ski, coil over performance shocks, clipped wings on the LE windshields  and some minor color changes.

OK so what is the Performance Damper about on the SRVipers? I take it this is yet another marketing error where they used copy from the Japanese Yamaha recycled into the Viper specs?

Watch out for those disclaimers: Specs subject to change w/o notice...

I was thinking I'd go to the spring sneak peek, but so far Doo and Yamaha haven't given me even the remotest hint of a reason to go and deal with the crowd.

Pantera was my pick from early on, but I expected it as a full on touring 2 up not a crossover.

???
NEW Yamaha Performance Damper New and exclusive Yamaha technology, the Performance Damper is designed to improve overall chassis performance by reducing unwanted chassis vibration and distortion. Mounted directly to the chassis at the front and rear of the machine, the Performance Damper harnesses unwanted chassis energy resulting in improved control and comfort with increased high-speed stability and better tracking through rutted and chatter bump filled corners.

You said it, 5 years of Y.E.S.! ;)! We could not be happier with our 2015's, Glad we pulled the trigger on the 2015's and not the 2016's. See you guys at S.P.S. event in 2020 :)

Disappointed. I would have like to have seen a revamped Phaser (newer chassis & body panel) and a new sled offering with the Apex motor but I doubt its ever going to happen. Its been rumored for years now but never becomes a reality.

Shows how disappointed people are when there is less conversation about the release than the rumors. Myself I like the colors and graphics on the SE and LE and the Fox coil over spring shocks but not enough to trade my '14 and lots of money.

Awesome job of marketing. So which is it? Listing from the same sled:

NEW Tuner 3 Skis Our advanced twin-keel Tuner ski is improved again, with a new lighter design, a replaceable ski-hoop allowing for custom color matching and the same great easy steering, reduced darting and tuning capabilities of previous Tuner Ski designs.
  • Tuner 2 Skis
Our Deep Keel Tuner 2 Skis are engineered specifically for the SRV Chassis and the unique characteristics of the Viper. They deliver reduced ski-pressure and near effortless steering; and the dual keel design delivers an assured “bite” in the corners with reduced darting. The design also allows you to customize the handling and feel of your sled with easy to change carbide runners in a variety of insert lengths for the inner and outer keel.
