I agreed totally. The viper is awesome, tho old and no real change the apex and vector are still great sleds if that's your style, the Phazer is just old..get rid of it and bring in a new entry level $8000 sled and it'll sell, I'd buy a new 100 hp entry level sled for my wife for $8000 rather than spending $6k on a used nytro. Gotta face the facts that these high prices of new sleds are keep a lot of people out of the sport.
I would have loved to have seen a 100hp ish motor in a lighter weight frame.
The whole sport and industry is getting to price itself out of being to many.
Most don't need the fancy gadgets and high hp sled to get a decent season sledding.
A 100ish hp sled with a decent ride and track shouldn't cost 15,000 g's
CDN of course.

Yamaha is putting a lot of technology with new engines into their sport bikes, and they're pricing them very reasonably, an $8000 100hp sled should be on yamahas list of needs..cuz quite frankly the industry needs cheaper sleds!

Good incentives for ordering this spring. If it wasn't for such a bad winter I would order a new LT-X LE. I have put on maybe 200 miles this winter so combined with last year's 2200, I only have 2400 or so. I will wait until next year. I'm very happy with mine anyway so I'm not in a hurry.

Not impressed. Happy I got my 2015. Looks like mostly color changes and minor stuff. Nothing special for 2016

sled lineup aside watched some of the marketing videos and found it to be lacking Not the same standard as the doo preview. Last years video made me want to trade my 14 viper for a 15 which was the same sled pretty much but this years video made me want to keep mine. I do like the 146 viper but was surprised they didn't offer it in a pure 2 up.

I noticed the xtx le is nothing like the 15'
And the 16 mtx 141 looks like a 15 xtx le but it has a new front spindle and control arms , I wonder if this is Yamaha making changes, sled looks slick and definitely where some time was spent if ac doesn't have those a arms and spindles

Looks like they shed another 2.5 lbs from the front end , 34.5" on mtx models over 141. And lightweight brake rotor....

Glad I have my '15 Those SE '16's look terrible. whats up with all the White? There is enough white stuff on the ground they don't need to paint the whole sled to blend in with it. upped the MSRP and made the colors terrible. On the Plus side they are putting the fox in the back.

I think the mountain guys will be excited about the narrower/lighter front ends.
The 146 skid I think is the best of the new release.
The apex Motor is rock solid but that chassis has seen its day.
I was torn about getting my 15 as I was expecting a whole new sled 100% Yamaha for 16.
I'm happy with my 15 Xtx le and totally satisfied with my decision.

remember when yamaha promised a new model a year for the next 5 years? 3 years into this, and the new model is still the viper. Auto makers don't change the body color, brand of shocks, and style of rims on a half ton truck from one year to the next and call it a "new" model..... I would love to buy a new sled, but nothings new. Might as well buy a sport ATV at half the price, and ride it year round..... smh....

Who enjoys being jettisoned by their Viper?
Genesis 1049cc High Performance Engine The 3-cylinder Genesis engine has been regarded as the industry’s best four-stroke engine. Featuring a sophisticated closed-loop fuel injection system and 4-valves per cylinder, the 1049 engine delivers a class-leading horsepower, instant throttle response and a thick torque curve that jettisons you from corner to corner in a blink of an eye. All with great fuel economy and a reputation for bulletproof durability.
Seriously who writes this stuff? Better yet who proof reads it?

It's about time to jettison the apex and vector, outdated chassis , uncomfortable and the apex drone drives me nuts. The updated Pro should make the club guys happy for grooming. The red and white viper xtx LE is sweet looking, still got the nicest looking sleds on snow.
