Hey has anyone had the issue of these sliding runners braking all the time. I just put 2 new ones on in Dec and last week i looked underneath and there missing again. not having them last season damaged the track, so this year i installed a new track and extrovert drivers, relocated the skid so I have no idea whats causeing them to break off. I have the machine in a warm shop so ice build up isnt the issue. if anyone knows the cause, and can direct me to aftermarket solution that would be awesome.

they sit on the top of the front shock tower in the skid, and guide the windows on the top of the track. I know these are on 09 nytros and 2010 vectors not sure if there on other models and years.

Don't remember seeing anything on the XTX suspension I just had out. Could be different front arms. Is it possible to put them on backwards maybe and the track is catching them. Going to check a parts diagram. I take it this is a short track nytro.

XTX has metal bars welded to the suspension arm. Did you get them from a Yamaha dealer.

Those are only on short track sleds and there's a newer part number that should supersede the one from 09. Apparently the newer ones last longer. Also make sure to file any burrs off the metal mounting tabs if they have damage. Make sure the hardware isn't damaged either. New part number is 8F3-47422-10

Oh ya, like nitris said, make sure they aren't backwards lol. Also check all the clips on your track as well. A damaged clip could be the cause as well, but your sliders would also show signs of that

I just snapped my left side one off last weekend, I found it in the driveway when I got home from a ride. I had a rock go banging around through my tunnel that my track picked up and I thought it had damaged it then when I reversed the track ripped it out..

its the 121 skid. Im running a lose track inch of play maybe with no weight pushing down on it.
I thought that they might be backwards but i double cheaked with one at a dealer to make sure they went the right way, plus i cleaned and made sure the braces they mount to were straight and had no burs or anything that could cause them to break. I guess ill install another set and see if they last if not ill make some out of metal if i cant buy any.

Loose track is prob taking them out, tighten it up a bit so it doesn't slap around so much. The longer part should face the back of the sled.

well thats the other issue i installed the 2012 extrovert drivers from a apex XTX so when i tighten the track more i get a lot of vibration under my feet.
