I was replacing a rivet on my snowflap on my Apex when I noticed the coolant pipe that runs through the back of the sled just in front of the snowflap was very loose. Where the pipe runs through a opening on each side of the tunnel the pipe had a grove just about worn through it because of all the rubbing it had been subject too. There are two rivets that hold this pipe in place, and they had both broken. I think another 1,000 miles or so and it would have worn through on both sides and left me stranded on the trail after all the coolant would have ran out. Check to make sure your coolant line is secure and not rubbing.

Yeah same with both mine, I re riveted them and wrapped some high temp silicone rubber with zip tys around it, just in case they loosen up again

My dealer installed rear heat exchangers on my sleds. I would guess that with that I would not have that connection in my sleds any more.Is this correct or should I check my sleds for this problem also? Thanks

Preacher, I believe the connection is still basically the same but the rear heat exchanger, at least on the attak, has more rivets. Never hurts, and easy to check, if it is loose.

Thanks, Big Black! Must be all those tug bumps..lol.
Hey, did you ever mount your warrior air horns under the hood of the Apex?

When I put on the rear cooler there were 2 rubber pieces over the outlet pipeing. I assumed they were for the purpose of were the pipe goes threw the tunnel. Just a big rubber grommett to protect against rubbing there.
