- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
I've been looking for a spare sled for a while. I found a 2010 RS Vector LTX GT. Has 321 miles on it. So I went down about 2 hrs to look at it with cash and trailer. We'll was bummed to see the windshield was dull and faded as the plastics. Seat was ripped bad. Mice got pieces of foam from inner part of the black shrouds. Well it started right up and held a great cold idle. So I bought it. Luckily no chewed mice damage. Just some corrosion which I cleaned up and painted from were they peed at the bottom of the fuel pump lid on tank.
I brought it into my shop and started in on it checking it out. Pulled it all apart after a while. Couldn't help it. Loaded with squrriel next's mice nests debris. Oil was odd looking ..chain case oil white looking. Don't know how water could get in there yet if it did. In hindsight I shouuld of caught the oils in a jar and let it settle to see if water was in there.
I flushed out all the squrriel/mice stuff from around and under the engine. Installed all new bearing in all wheels and packed the clutch side bearings as they were getting dry. Also ski's were out of alignment which I set back to spec's.
I used Back to Black plastic renew stuff and it is amazing thatnks to Project Farm's tests. New battery, windshield, seat cover and still working on it. Going to stud it this week with studs and pattern from Woody's. Which I used for near 40k miles combined riding machines and no issues. Very very few got bent and none pulled thru.
The machine was White from Yami and I got some Candy Apple panels used. My wife has a White Vector so this was a must. So beware of old low low mileage machines. 2010 is 15 yrs old and with 321 miles it sat and wasn't taken care of really. But I could tell 321 was real with it. Skid was like new as al the other parts that should of rusted with age and or mileage. A arms, Trackm, steering parts, etc.
