Tl;dr. What is a good source for Valve shims?
After a 9 year Hiatus decided to get back into riding and picked up a 2006 Apex GT for cheap. 1 owner. 13k miles.
Story is Last year a lot of work was done. New Track, 144 Track extension, A arm bushing, exhaust, and shocks rebuilt. Did one trip early in the season and then bought a Polaris VR1 and the Apex sat until I bought it last week
The only problem, it struggles to idle at times after it is warmed up. Initial start up fires right up but is rough as well. When it stalls it will start right back up with a little bit of throttle. No throttle and it won't start.
Gas wasn't great replaced but having been able to actually ride it due to no snow.
Thinking of doing spark plugs and a valve adjustment this summer. I will realistically ride this less than 500 miles a year but the peace of mind knowing they are adjusted will be worth it.
What is a good source for the shims? Buy them individually once I know what I need or is there a reasonable priced kit that includes enough sizes?
