How many watts [ or amps] are there to spare on the 06 Apex and a 2004 Warrior?

Wondering what the limitations are for electrical add ons for each sled.

TIA :rocks:

Real consequence # 1 is a dead battery. If you suck out more than you put in, eventually it will be empty.

An extra battery will just delay the inevitable. Eventually you will have two dead batteries.

Keeping the headlights on low beam will free up an extra amp or so. Some guys who need the power and do not ride too much or too fast at night have been known to remove one headlight bulb to free up 5 amps or so for accessories.

Viper Dave had a good idea on Non Apex/Attak sleds.

Install LED tail light bulbs! they draw practically nothing and will put some watts in the bank for other uses.

What is it you want to do????????

I'm keeping my plans under my hat for now as I want to get it working before I show it off (its not a performance mod). Might not be before this season. I think I am going to be drawing between 20 and 50 watts. My main concern is CDI or FI problems created by robbing the machine of its electricity, that and being stranded with a dead battery. No riding alone when testing I guess.

Easiest way to free up power is to make more. Install solar panels on sled, make a bigger stator or add more rotating rare earth magnets to the rotar to create more magnetic field thus creating more power. Install a switch to shut off the lights so when idling you can recharge your batteries quicker and keep them off during the day to keep your batteries topped up and free up some watts.
