PB and no J (sorry had to do it); I was wondering if you had gotten a chance to try them yet. Once you do; let these 4-stroke newbies know too (in addition to me). I bet they'd be interested to hear your feed back. I'm in the boosted club now with no thoughts of going back to NA. I know if I had to though; these would be my first purchase along with different exhaust.

Hmmm...would these springs help at 3500'?...or would they be too much?

I don't think they would be "too much". Holtzman does make four different sets for various elevations. Frosty has my old red ones which he is going to try this year at lower elevations than I normaly ride in. He usually rides in the 3000-4000 elevations (see his post about speeds he see on the airstrip on the first page). That's why I suggested he post a report for you guys.

How about guys like me that live 158' above sea level? Might get up to 3000 or thereabouts this winter if we ride to Old Crow, but nothing too high in my neck of the woods.

Jim, I tried your Red Holtzman springs today. The carbeuration was the best I have had since going to the ECP filters. Than you very, very much!

I have three sets of different color Holtzman springs now. The problem is, once the paint on the carb slides has been exposed to fuel vapors (or maybe it was the spray carb cleaner I used) the paint is gone from the springs. I couldn't tell you which set is which any longer.

Here's a link to Holtzman springs.

Good to hear that they helped you out. I'm glad I found somebody that could get good use of them; rather than having them sitting here colecting dust on my bench.

I noticed that too about the springs losing their color when I pulled them. It seems maybe it's just a dye rather than paint. I know when new they were a pinkish red kind of similar in color to a half ripe strawberry.

BigUglyMan, I think these springs can help your throttle response also. By looking at the chart in Frost'y link; you would need the green if running the stock airbox.

Wow...guess i better order some.....and hey...anybody use the attac on an rx1?

Yup! I have had ATACC on my RX-1M for three years now.

I used Barry's Variflow in conjunction with my EGTs with two strokes and the thought of automatic compensation made sense to me.

Does it work? I think so but with no EGTs on my RX-1 I can't swear to it.
