Is there a way to correct the speedo? I went from a 9 tooth to a 8 tooth. The speedo is 15% off by GPS. Can the display be reprogramed? The MTX has a 8 tooth.

MTX has 7 tooth 3 pitch drivers. The speed calculation is in the gauge itself.
Well a 8tooth 2.52 pitch driver is about the same diameter right? There must be a way to change the calibration.yamahaboy701 said:MTX has 7 tooth 3 pitch drivers. The speed calculation is in the gauge itself.

Yes a 8 tooth 2.52 is close to a 7 tooth 3.00. Maybe a mountain gauge then or I have heard of guys taking a tooth off the speedo gear which will reduce the speed read.07Rob1 said:Well a 8tooth 2.52 pitch driver is about the same diameter right? I know people are using "Speedohealer" in the sportbike world.
Many, including me have changed the stock sprocket gearing on our bikes.
I've never used one but might be somethin you could look into.
