Noticed my suspension bottoming out today when riding. Checked my shocks and the rear clicker shock is split. Anyone else have this happen? Is there something better than OEM? Thanks

I should have done a search of the problem first, I see lots of guys having the same problem. I would still like to know what my options are for replacement.

Common problem. Water get's in, freezes, and splits body. Fox Zero is a replacement. Its available thru Pioneer Performance, Fett Brothers and Schmidt Brothers Racing.
Buddy of mine changed out his '09 xtx with the fox zero from Pioneer (I think) and it is a much better shock than the stocker IMO plus you can get it valved to your specs

Had the same thing happen to me on my 2009. I replaced with the same GYTR shock but new. Yamaha increased the strength of the shock body in 2011 because of all the banana splits. I'd say buy a new stock (or used that's been manufactured no later than 2011; manufacture date is stamped on the shock body) as it is a great shock and better than a non-adjustable zero pro IMO.

I found a refurbished Fox Zero Pro that is adjustable. Anyone have experience with this shock?? I like some of the other shocks out there but don't really want to spend $700+ for one shock.

I just bought a used Zero Pro off a TY member and lucky enough for me it was valved perfectly for me. My first shock blew apart and the next GYTR was starting to bulge. If you are going to replace it I would suggest whatever your budget will allow. The Yammy shocks are supposed to be high end but suffer from enough deficiencies that for the money they're worth, there are better options out there. I love the Fox. Elkas and Ohlins are great and can be outfitted with tuning options. Once you get a shock tuned to ride the way you want, unless you like to tinker you won't play with the adjustments again. If the Fox fits your budget, buy it and love it. Good luck, sleds are money pits!

Glad to hear the zero pro is working for you. I lost a hand warmer just before this cold stuff hit. Now they say the new element is back ordered.

So I picked up a Fox Zero Pro clicker and now I notice more rear sag when the sled is sitting. I have had to set the coil spring to hard. The guys said he set it up for my weight and riding style. I haven't had much seat time since I installed it but wondering why I'm getting sag now.
