spring tighter or looser? I think tightening the spring would be MORE ski pressure?????

I tightened/compressed the spring, putting more down pressure on the front of the skid. This gives less ski pressure. Not a huge amount but enough to make a difference.

put the bigger windshield on it with the side extensions and I never felt cold (other than the low output handwarmers, but even those were not too bad for me). I think the shield I went with was the one just below the tallest.

The handwarmer fix will not work on the earlier ones, only the newer ones. I have the rockmeister one laying on the bench waiting to be installed.

The handwarmer fix includes new grips and my understanding is its not available yet. Does the fix you refer to include new grips?

I believe it was discussed on the Canada blog page that the fix includes a slightly different ECU along with the grip modifications and the older models would not be able to be retrofitted. Maybe I am wrong, but don't think so, so I bought the rockmeisters fix.


On another note, cannot believe no one has asked about that seat jack on the nytro, can one of those be put on a Phazer? Would be great to let a kid ride along once in a while.

They have an update kit for it. I asked the guy at the yamaha showcase at haydays and brought me over to it. Its elements, grips, and glue. Yamaha kit is $99.95 and part # for hooked bars is SMA-HOTGP-HK-00. I ended up walking over to the RSI booth and got what looks like the exact same thing for $25 less.
