My brother is considering a XTX. He had an Apex GT and then switched to a Venture 2-up. The two up didn't work for him and his wife. Too tippy when opened up. She can't drive her own. My question is does anyone have all the extra wind protection available for the Nytro and if so, how cold is it. He is concerned with the temp when riding but likes the sled. Any opinions would be very helpful.

heated jacket gloves pants and socks than he'll have no cold problem.

I have the mid height shield and the side deflectors. The bottom line is it depends how you ride. If you are an active rider and are working you will be plenty warm. If you sit back and cruise and its 10 below you will be cold. I have ridden in sub zero temps with no problems.

I definately agree.... with the mid windy and side deflectors its not that bad.... its my wifes xtx, but i ride it too.... she gets a little cold on long UP rides, but only when the trails are smooth and she gets still on the sled for too long..... i dont notice it being any colder than any other sled.... now the kids 07 phazer, that is a cold sled!

Sorry to tell you this but the XTX is cold compared to my attack. I have the mid height wind screen, side deflectors, hand guards and I even have a little velcro patch that I cover the air intake on the bottom front of the sled. My hands and my right foot get cold. I do wear good Gortex gloves but, need better boots. I'm not saying you can't be warm on this sled because I will be this year with better boots and maybe better hand warmers, just as a comparison to my attack it's cold.

Ok, thanks for the info. My brother is considering buying my Attak and I would go get a Nytro. Rhoag, how do you like your Nytro compared to the Attak? Any regrets? Any info would help.
