Spring Washer

On an 09 mtx on the top sprocket in the chaincase there is a collar, washer, sprocket, washer than another collar. That is the order they go, but my question is on the washers they are the conical spring washer in which they are concave. Do you put the concave side towards the sprocket or away from they sprocket?

you usually put those washers so the outer edge contacts first and then as you tighten it down the washer butts up... this helps in getting equal pressure all the way around the washer
