Went for my first ride of year yesterday. Heard little squeaky noise from the front.

. Going on a five day trip next weekend. So I decided bringing in the garage today and see if I can find the source of the noise. What I found was the upper control arms bushing making the noise. So took the control arms off clean and lube everything and set the toe.The machine only has 700 miles on it just had 500 mil service done at the dealership couple weeks ago. While I had it on the lift I grease the rear suspension also I could only find three grease fittings. So hear my questions how many grease fittings are on a 2017 Yamaha Viper RTX DX ?Has anyone added grease fittings for the front control arms?

the squeak is likely the tie rod ends...i replaced all the front bushings...tried removing the sway bar...all for nothing the tie rods squeak..oiled them it was good for 1 day then its back im gonna try fluid film i guess other wise im giving up

that actually isnt the bushing thats the axle.the bushings are aluminum 2 piece sleeves inside the arms and spindles

I use Lucas oil stabilizer it’s thick and has consistently kept my bushings lubricated and tie rods ends squeak free. I use it religiously in pre season maintenance. It’s used as an additive for high mileage engines. I swear by it.

good to know thanks ill try that for sure

My 2014 has been squeaking since day 1. I spray wd40 on all metal parts before every ride and protects the metal parts from rusting but front end still squeaks when hitting bumps. sled has worked fine for 3 years now so I just live with it. lol

My sway bar clicks on both sides. Only 1500 miles. I'm going to replace links with radius rod ends from my sprint car racing.

You where right about the tie rods. When I rode it after greasing the upper and lower a arms bushings . there was still a squeaking noises it was coming from the tie rods grease them and now the noise is gone.
Thanks for the info

You will find the same dry bushing in the rear suspension for the shocks and shock link, etc... the ones without grease fittings. I discovered this on my 2015 with less than 200 miles on it when I went thru my rear suspension while having it down to upgrade to the bigger cross shafts. Completely dry.
I lubed all the bushings up with Belray waterproof grease.
I guess I need to do the same to the front arm bushings...

All above findings can make the SQUEAK noise on our front ends.
My squeak was from the swaybar bushings which once lubed up properly my noise went away but this year my sway bar it’s self SNAPPED in half where it enters the bulkhead and I had absolutely NO impact damage to cause it. I’m just about 7k on sled.
Just a heads up.

Yea everything was tight, just got the sled back from the dealer tonight, all was covered with the YES WARRANTY which I have to say has been rock solid with all the stupid #*$&@ that has been failing on this sled after 2500 miles.
