On my trip a couple weekends ago I noticed towards the end of the 500 mile trip that when turning at speed I could hear my steering making a squeeking noise. Where do I add grease/WD-40 to cure the annoying sound? Obviously I will fill the zerks throughout the sled, but I don't think that is where the noise is originating.
took my 06 attak apart yesterday and found the squeak to be he Hines joints from the column to the bar by the chain case removed the right side cover and got two straws for the lube and taped them together so it reached in hope it helps
Yep, same thing on my vector. Open the bolts holding the steeringpost and grease the bushings. Then the same thing with the 2 on the bar along the deltabox and lube all the balljoints. Worked perfectly!! May have to do it every year though.
