I'm running 100psi in the Floats. Maybe more?
Talking about preload- That's tightening the spring on the shocks? I'm running the fat boy on the front shock.
Thxs.

yes if u take sway bar off you should stiffen up the front shock springs (preload) quite a bit...

Niko, your saying the Dartless didn't work well on your stock Mnt. ski?
Anyone know how to help Simmons Gen 2 be more stable on hard ice? Run two sets of carbides or maybe the dartless on the outside skeg?
>>>niko said:I used that set up and hated it made my sled dangerous to ride, pulled the bars right out of my hands. Ripped them off and went back to stock.

I don't know of anything that will fix the shifties these skis have on curved icy conditions like a plowed road. It is not darting that causes it but the continous shifting of the ski from inside to outside carbide as the surface changes. When both rights or both lefts grab at the same time, the sled gets pulled that direction.
I sold my simmons so I can not try dartless on them. I would be interested to see what they would do on them. I don't think they would fix what your describing but I think if installed on the inside carbides of this style ski, it might take away some of the low speed hard stearing caused by the lifting issue.
Try it and let us know what you find?

100 psi is almost overkill, if your front skid shock is to stiff it can also unload the skis and make it feel unstable.
AS FOR THE SIMMONS SKIS I adjust the spindle( bark buster) slightly out on the bottom that helps a bunch.
Overal they are still my favorite skis.

Powder,
So i should decrease PSi to about 75 and try? And should I tighten the nut on the front spring or loosen it a few turns?
I am considering putting the sway bar back in and putting pins in one side to decouple it after I get to the area we play in. Anybody got pictures of their pin set-up?
Thxs.
