Anyone studded an SRX 1" track yet? Did you use any of the "pre-marked" locations? Will a 1/2" aluminum nut work on a 1.175" Woody's Gold Digger or Mega-byte? Woody's rep says no but their website said they would (previous years) and Stud Boy recommends them for their 1'187"s.

According to Woody's penetration chart, 1.325's would be approx. .545-.575 above a 1" lug - little too high for my liking. The 1.45's you ran are in the .455-.485 range above a 1.25" lug and I think you mentioned that a few of yours were bent?1.325s would work well IMO on the 1" ripsaw

1.175 wont hook very well IMO.....Id easily go with 1.325 on 1 inch.According to Woody's penetration chart, 1.325's would be approx. .545-.575 above a 1" lug - little too high for my liking. I wont use double backers anymore, as that is why you may get a bend or two, i only have one slight bend but its a double, as the double backer is too rigid. I had always only ever run single round backers prior entire life, and never a bend or break ect....
One thing to consider though.....This might be counter productive, but when tuned with this much power belt life is really short. And guys who have best traction typically exacerbate things. So I may consider next time round, to go with less/shorter studs to allow for less hook corner to corner. Still not something I want to do, but something to think about. Stock HP levels seem ok though.

The crowd I ride with are older and no turbo's - lots of Vipers. I didn't tune previous Sidewinder and had no belt problems in 5000 kms. Ran 160 (4-3-3 with the 4's being Doubles and the 3's singles) 1.325 Gold Diggers and none bent. Still waiting on SRX - I had quite the rant in a prior thread!
