Mine lasted about 400 miles in marginal conditions in Quebec last year. Just ditch them and buy some Bergstroms.

IMO, there is enough stock carbide to get you home, it really is that pathetic. Not only is the length of carbide short, it's also smaller than say, the aftermarkets, as well as the diameter of the runner it's mounted on.

Well if you are going to keep the stock skis then I would say Bergstrom. I am thoroughly impressed with the amount of carbide on my triple points. Some may have other opinions but for me, these work great.

Keep in mind, carbide is for ice, or very hard snow. They do nothing in soft snow, or most trail riding. The manufacturers know owners are going to change to bars that match their riding conditions. Thats why they come with the small carbide. I use the stock carbide till it wears out. It is good enough for most riding.
I never had excessive darting, but I went to a dual runner 6" carbide to eliminate darting.

As long as you are not studded they will work pretty good, until you stud then you will have too upgrade to match the rear.
