Hey guys, just got a 08 nytro rtx. I'm remember reading that some flip the rubber ski mounts around so it helps keep ski tips up more. Which will helps in keep the front end under control more. Which way is it suppose to go? i've toed out 1/4 and did the other recommended setting too. Thanks for the help

man everytime i see ur pic i cant help but laugh. wish i could help with ur problem. id say get some aftermarket skis.

The ski rubbers have a smooth side and a grooved side, put the smooth to the back. I've had better luck running the toe out closer to 1/2" or 5/8".

Ok I think that is the way it is now. I did the toe out 1/4 and rode 220 miles today. WOW what a difference from today and yesterday. I think i might try a 1/2 though, It still wonders some. I'm also still getting some ski lift in the corners too. I have the front strap pulled down 1 hole, about 7 threads on the front shock preload. 15 back from full hard on the compression side and 6 on both for rebound. torsions set to firm. 60 psi in the shocks. It helps to really hang off the sled in the corners but still get it on some. I think I have it pretty close, the sled eats everything up and rarely bottoms. Just has some ski lift yet and some darting. Any suggestions? Thanks a ton

And thanks raginyamaha, that picture makes me laugh cracks me up too haha

1/2" total and try less psi in the floats. Try 3 threads on the center shock. 15 back on the compression?, I think there's only 12 clicks on that. Don't run shaper bars on it and no more than a 6" round bar.

Sorry didn't have my cheat sheet with me. It was 5 on the compression and 15 on the rebound. So i went to full hard then back from there. I had the preload spring with less threads showing but it seamed to bottom pretty easy, that is why i tightened up more. I'll try the lower PSI and put some more toe out on it. As for the bars, I have no clue what they are. They were on it when i got it and they are new. What do the sharper bars look like? It looks like 4 or 6 inch carbide, and i just looked up a picture and i think they are the sharper bars. They look like a U shaped bar with the carbide inside in the U. That sound right? Last night I just nicked a tree from the darting, I was in a some ruts and it bounced me out right at a tree. Just brushed the side of it with the ski, That woke me up. Thanks guys its getting real close, just a few minor tweaks and this thing will be good to go, and it's a blast to ride now!!!! :jump:

The shaper bars have the concave or grooved sides. Instead of giving the spring more preload try using more compression clicks if you are bottoming. When you set up the toe make sure you get the 1/2" with all the "slop" out of the parts, use a bungee cord to hold the tips together.

Ok I might play with the preload spring again tomorrow. Well I did both a few clicks comp. and the spring at the same time, I prob should have just left the spring preload looser. But it did feel pretty good, firmer but a little harsher in the stutters. I just shimmed the ski's and flipped the rubber thing tonight. So i'll see how that helps out the darting and wondering. Good tip for the bungee to get all the slop out of everything. I'll ride it to see if i'll need to toe it more or not. Crap all the dinking around with the skis' and I totally forgot to look. Do the sharpers dart worse or what's the deal with that? Whatever they are they bit really well.
