I have a 2008 Vector LTX GT (Kayaba) with the 136" track and was wondering what the stock coil spring rate is. Does anyone know? I'd like to upsize the spring but need to know the stock spring rate so I have a starting point.

Thanks

If I remember correctly its a 5.0, I'm 225# and up mine to a 6.5 and re-valved my shock to my riding style, day and night in handling, no more bottoming out, cam set at 4, "C" clip at 1 and pulled up limiter 1 hole and cut down on transfer rod...

If you change your SPRING you MUST re-valve your shock or you'll be wasting your time and effort, its going to ride like a KICKING donkey, been their!

Here I copied this info of www.pioneerperformance.net call or email Bruce with your riding weight, style of riding and he'll set you up, he's 1 of the best in the BIZ!

Mono Shock "KYB"
APEX, VECTOR 4.5 kg/mm
ATTAK, RAGE 5.0 kg/mm

Optional springs available;
6.5 kg/mm PP-8FU-891 $99.95
7.0 kg/mm PP-8FT-891 $109.95
8.0 kg/mm PP-8FU-893 $189.95

APEX (ER & '06 RTX), ATTAK (LTX)

Like the mono shock RX-1 the Apex and Attak work well in the smaller and stutter bumps. When you start pushing the sled in the larger or "g-out" bumps the suspension will blow through the travel. We change both compression and rebound dampening to reduce this affect, improving the ability to be ridden aggressively with less frequent bottoming. For the more aggressive or heavier riders a spring change is recommended along with the valve change. Cost to re-valve the 46 millimeter KYB rear is $69.95.

This should help and answer your question.
