Stud marks on heat exchanger

As the title says, I did extros and studs this year. I thought I had the track tight enough not to worry but was wrong. Now its not leaking or have any holes but it has minor scratch marks from heavy braking and heavy acceleration over bumps when the track balloons. The marks are mostly higher up on the exchanger where they are hard to see. Anybody else have this problem and should I be worried about it.....because i'm really not at the moment since it's not leaking or that deep. I have 144 studs 1.45 length. After looking it over today I ended up tightening up the track 2 more full turns so I shouldn't have to worry about it being too loose. And how thick is the material of the exchanger?
