In 2006 I had an Attack. I had issue with Studs hitting the Tunnel. I just ordered an 09 Vector LTX GT. I was wondering what length studs can I run in her Track that will not hit inside the Tunnel?

It all comes down to track tension..

There should be a length that will not hit. It's that why they put in Tunnel protectors?

Assuming that sled has a 1.25" track lug, should be able to run 1.325 studs.

- None, looking now!
I ran the 1.375's in my 06 RTX. The only thing I had ever hit was the brace right beneath the muffler. Just some light marks, nothing really gouging. I ran 192 in a 121" track.
My buddy has 108 1.5" studs in a 1.5" track.he just bought the sled.Ther are a few scrapes but the less lug height the closer the studs will come to hitting because it takes longer for the lugs to hit the protectors.
Depends on the brand of stud too.
Some 1.40' are the same legnth as a 1.34.
Are you going to keep the stock track?

Pro 116 is correct. Different manufacturers must measure their studs differently. You can not assume that a certain stated length will be the same installed length from brand to brand.
What is important is that the installed length is no more than 3/8" beyond your track lugs. If you go longer than that there is too much leverage on them and they will tend to fold over or worse yet they may tear out.
I have run the Fast-Trac Top Gun II on all of my Yamaha's over the years and I have had very good luck with them. On my '07 Apex GT I used the 1.375" length. I run a very loose stock track and I do have a few light scrapes on the muffler bracket but that is it.

I have about 2,500 mi on my first set of 1.375 Fast track's with there plastic backer's and i can honestly say they still look like new and are the best stud's /backer's that i have run period. Running the proper track tension is important to keep the track from whipping on hard bottoming and hitting the plate under the muffler, I also added on to the protector's in the rear of the tunnel to help keep the stud's from contacting the plate. kviper

1.325's will hit if you bottom out hard enough. I run 1.450's and it does not hit.

I agree 100%, keep your track tension within spec and run 1.450" Trust me, you need the 3/8" penetration over your lug with these sleds!

I added 144 1.450's woodys megabites this year and have little to no issues within track tension specs.

Rick.
