Anyone have an opinion on these...good or bad. Was in Quebec the past few days...sled was darting more then ever. My dealer recommended the dooleys but I ride hard and am concearned about corner push. He then went on to suggest the Shaper Bars. Just curious if this is a good move. I am tempted to get the Flexis but dont want to spend the money if I can decent performance out of tuning the stock skis.

Shaper bars, the way to go

I have 5700 on my 03 rx-1. I put shaper bars on last year and will use nothing else, they are fantastic. I have stock skis and notice a huge improvement. You should give them a try.

Thanks Mustang. Where do you see the improvement...cornering or darting?

I've been using the Studboy "duece" bars this year....Better cornering than the dooleys and less darting than a single carbide

I have also used them and noticed a difference. They bite more in the corners.

I ran a set of shaper bars ,the carbide wears well. The host bar is on the soft side (bends easilly).Ive also bent woodys 8" on this sled but the shaper bars bend back easily .I have to work at the woodys to bend back. The shaper bars (single) helped a little with darting when new but the "X" shape of the host bar wears quickly and then works like any other bar but they still last a long time because the carbide is strong.I even made the shaper bars fit my powder pro,s and Im still running them 3000+ miles.Ill put the new 9" slp carbides on when good conditions.

If your looking to get less darting and you allready shimmed your ski,s,ID try the dual shaper bars.IMHO
