What would be the difference between the 6" and 9" round bar?

For the '09 121's, the 6" round bar will give a nice response with less effort than the 9" round. We used the 9" because we are snocross aggressive on the trail and don't mind a bit of extra effort or bite. Think of a 9" bar as being used for a snocross racer who rides trail on the week days and the 6" bar for the person who likes to turn it up occasionally but would prefer to have less steering effort and a less intensive ride.
If you have 96 studs or more, you'll be better off with a 7.5" or 9" configuration. XTX owners should also use 7.5" or 9" round.

I am in the process of thawing out my sled and found a piece of carbide laying on the trailer. So with less than 200 miles on them, one of the 1 1/2" pieces of carbide fell out and looks like new. I have already expressed how unhappy I am with the performance of Nytro specific aggressive trail carbides and now even more so!
I am leaving for a ride in the morning and with today being a holiday will have to hope the crabides that are left will keep me out of the trees!
I did pull up the front strap another notch (2 from stock) so hopefully that will help until the new carbides I ordered arrive.
Don't waste your money on these carbides.

The rocker keel bends the host bar a little and makes the angle even worse for tearing off the rear carbide piece which has the flat end facing forward and when installed tipped down a bit.No flat wear piece of carbide to protect it and no angle cut on either end carbide on the edge facing toward center. In reverse the front piece may catch and going foward the rear piece will catch--or rip off.
In Pic you can see both ends pieces and 3 middle flat pieces.

Based upon our testing we found that our Nytro specific bar is preferred for optimum performance on the 2008 Nytro. We understand that individual riders have specific needs based upon riding style and snow conditions. We recommend this bar because this configuration provided the best performance for many variations of snow conditions and riding styles.
We spend countless hours developing setups that we find to offer the most enjoyable riding experience. When offering products on the cutting edge of technology there is an ongoing line of progression. We know that we cannot always offer the best setup for each individual rider, however we will work with you to find that balance of excellence and satisfaction. This is something that no other company on the market takes the time to do. Furthermore, we are placed in a more vulnerable position but are able to give you the customer, a baseline rather than just coming to our website and flying blind with your purchase.
Maintaining lines of communication throughout the process of finding your perfection is an important part to developing a relationship with a company. At the end of the day we take pride in knowing that we helped our customers and the industry as a whole progress to the next level. When you need something we are here for you anytime, give us a call.

Nick:
Thank you for the phone call and helping address my problem. Your company definitely excells at customer service. It is nice to see a manufacturer involved in a forum like this looking to get feedback. I will let you know how the new carbides perform for my riding style. Thanks!!
Yam182:
I 100% agree with your analysis, however, it was a front piece of carbide I found laying at the front of the trailer (I have a drive on/off trailer). After removing the wear bars, it appears the carbide was never welded on properly. As you will also see in the pics, it appears the front carbide on the other wear bar looks like it has been pushed forward as well as there is a missing piece off one of the rear carbides.
Maybe another piece of carbide on the inside of the two pieces that are there (3" in front & 3"in back)?? That would provide ramps in both directions and remove all sharp edges that exist. It may also provide for better cornering performance while still achieving the original design intent of removing the carbide from directly under the spindle to minimize the darting of the Nytro.

Robert,
You are most welcome. We work very hard to support our customer base to the best of our abilities.
You also bring up a good point about the carbide design, we may have to try out your suggestion. Thank you for your feedback we sincerely appreciate it. I look forward to working with you more in the future.

I would be more than happy to test a set of those for you with the added carbide if you decide to give it a try!

They will be soon! We just updated them and our webmaster should be posting the new manual. For the interim, here is an excerpt of that section.
