My cousin wants to cut his08 MTX stock track down to 1 1/2"(Lower Michigan riding) and would like to stud the track.
Are there any tunnel or Exchanger protectors missing that will need to be added?
How long of a stud will be safe? Im assuming there is plenty of clearence, the stock lugs are huge!!
Thanks

Might be hard to find anyone installing studs on a MTX.... I do not know of anyone who has done this?

Try the screw in studs into the thick part of the lug. The studs they use in the dirt bike tires work.I would think protectors wouldn't be necessary with cutting 3/4'' off the lugs. I know of a few guys who have done this...

Thanks, I'll look into that option.
According to the micro fische, the 08's dont have the protectors, but 2010's do. I need to get over and look at his to confirm.
