Hello Yami Crew,
I am soon installing studs on my 03 rx-1 with 121 track camoplast predator. 1 inch lugs. do you think i will have any problem with 1187 studs?

If thats the stock 9855 track, you would definitely be better off upgrading to a better track rather than just drilling steel into it.

I agree with LB.
I personally like the Camoplast Six-Pitch Design with the 1" profile fully clipped with speed clips. Also can get pre-drilled for 144 up the center. Would use the Woody's 5/16 Gold Diggers 60 degree size 1.075"

i really appreciate the advice. I'm gonna stick with the track that i have on the sled since the sled only has a 190 miles on it. I am more concerned if 1.187 studs will work without rubbin.

Not sure on the stud length on my 03 RX-1, but that length sounds right. I haven't had any problems and the hook-up was much better. If you ride in an area that doesn't really need studs, then upgrade your track. If you need studs, then I would just stud the existing 1" track.

I understand not wanting to spend the money on a new track, but that stock track is a POS. I rode, unstudded, for three years and decided to change track and stud. I went w/ the Kimplex Shotgun. It is a 1.25" w/ 96 pre-PUNCHED holes for studs.

I am running the stock 03 track and 120 studs. The stock track works fine for me, and the studs have plenty of room underneith. I have dragged my sled side by side with an 04 studded and running the rip saw, and I saw no difference in traction. We dragged on ice and hard pack and were side by side. If you plan on running in deep stuff, change the track, but studs don't help in that situation anyway.
