I am changing my track tomorrow and am going to need to refill the chain case. I have a 5 gallon drum of Subaru "Extra-S" synthetic 75w90 gear oil that I used to do the 30k mile trans/rear diff flush on my car. From what I've read on here, this should be fine to use in my chain case. Opinions on this?

should be fine its a little thick. most chain lubes for sleds are around 40w or 50w i think. personly i would get the right stuff. i use polaris SCL its realy slick plus its synthetic.
I thought I read somewhere that the chain case oil was 75w or 80w. Hm.
I'll probably go to the dealer and grab the right stuff tomorrow. Thanks for the input.

From the service manual: Recommended gear oil is "GL-3" 75W or 80W
