Well we are leaving for Cooke City in a matter of days now, and the hot topic on the way home is always where to head the following year. I was kind of thinking Togwotee area, Island Park area, or back to BC Sicamous or something. (We've never been to any of those)

The one thing we really like is not having to load and unload each day. Which is what make Cooke great.

So any suggestions or feedback on the above mentioned destinations would be appreciated!

thanks ;)!

Togwotee is high on my list of places to go back to, the lodge is right there and we found the goods within a few miles of there. We didn't even scratch the surface and I love that place.

Have fun! They have a ton of snow down there so it should be a blast.

Cool we'll have to look closer at that place. Did you stay at that togwotee mountain lodge?

We spent one night in Jackson on the way there then Camped (had to save any money I could on that trip) at the trail head. Probably 1/2 mile from the lodge that you can ride from as well. Nice place though, we just went there for food and Internet.

Like I said this was not more than 15 min from the lodge and there was not a track to be found

Been to Continental Divide three times and the Snowies for the first time this year. Copious amounts of snow! I like both. The pics are from the Snowies.

So you made it out? I remember back in October when you were planning that trip. Looks like the storms produced while you were out here.

Great snow year 140% of average snowpack - so you picked the right year/time for your trip.

I personaly like the Continental Divide area better than the Snowys. They are both VERY good places to ride, however, the Continental Divide area offers a lot more places to go. The Line Shack, Sawmill, Togwotee, just to name a few. We stay at MacKezie Highland Ranch, within 3 miles there are 5 differant trail destinations. Thats one of the bad things staying at Togwotee Mountain Lodge, is the last 3-5 miles back the trails get really rough, and there are so many people in one place.

TMK,

We were out there the 5th-12th of Feb. It was a little cold but the quantity of snow was perfect. I am torn where to go in 2012. My one buddy likes the Divide so it may be back of North if he can make it. The snow was so good I never got more than 20 miles away from Albany every day.

Sweet, I'll have to check that place out. That is the one thing Cooke City needs is a strip bar. Although..... cooke costs us a hell of a lot less then Revy used to and I think the strip bar was the main reason for that. ;)!

"Dacincig Girls" are only on Fridays ;)!

Also check out Nxt Level Riding clinic by Dan Adams, pretty cool gig he has going on. LLC (Lincoln County Customs) is out of Alpine too and they have some of the best built nytros you will ever see, plus they will get you running again if you have any issues. For lodging stay at the Flying Saddle Resort, its newer and not to badly priced plus has a hot tub, pool, restaurant, bar, etc. O ya the terrain in Alpine is one of a kinda, breath taking....
