Trying to put a 2008 Nytro MTX skid in a 2008 RTX chassis...I kno I need drop brackets to bolt suspension to, do I need to move front holes where they bolt in??. Any ideas about what gears i should put in or track to buy, because I strongly dislike the maverick track. And any idea who can remap fuel injection near south western MN?

The gears and track all depend on what your doing. 20 40 is stock in the MTX's and what Im running now. Its good to about 85 I will probably drop down to 19-40 since I never ride trails and thats good to about 65-70. As far as the skid goes I personally would not go with a MTX skid unless its a 2010 and I still dont know if I would. If You are going through the effort of a skid swap there are far better factory skid's out there and skid swaps are easy no matter the brand. On my MTX Im running a 07 Cat M skid and I ran it with a 153x2.25 cat take off challenger and that set up did very good for how cheap you can do that. Now Im running the same skid with 141 rails and a 144x2.5 CE and it does just as well climbing but is a ton more fun to ride if you want a very sporty sled. Being a RTX I think you have 2.52 Pitch? And are they anti ratchet? I would personally switch to 3.0 pitch Avids but it all depends on what you want to spend. I have alot of pictures of my cat skid swap and I probably have all the stock susp brackets off my MTX if your set on a MTX skid but If it was me you could see much better performance out of a different set up. The Cat skid for instance pre 09 rails are tough as crap I have bent two rear axles and had the sled drop on the tail from a 200 foot drop bending about everything it could but my rails were perfect, It does a great job of keeping the skis down on climbs, and weighs 30 lbs less than my 08 mtx skid so everything was far better than stock.
