how should i store my 07 Phazer for summer storage?

The way I do it is:

-Fresh oil/filter
-Full tank of gas and fuel stabilizer, run for 10 mins to get it all through the system.
-Take the plugs out and spray a bit of fogging oil in there.
-Take out the battery and charge it once a month

In the fall when it starts to get cold it put the battery in, check oil then start it up and run for 10 or so mins and then I am good to go.

i drain my fuel system compleatly, run the machine till the lines are dry, keep a pallet or a couple old 2x4s under the track to keep the crap off of it (dirt floor in the shop). since i swap my plugs every fall i do nothing with them, then it's just a simple pull out my bettery and put it in my quad

i treat my fuel with sea foam - run that on at least my last trip maybe two - then last trip i stabil the fuel - i use the green stuff made for fuel with alcohol in it - then i change the oil and drain the gas tank - cover it and store it - i've always left the batterys in my machines and never had any trouble - same with the boat, but i actually disconnect the batteries in the boat.

My dealer told me that it is best to keep the tank full with a good amount to stabilizer to keep it fresh. Something about the less air in the tank the less there will be that varnish, oily layer in the fuel system and the less air or oxygen there will be to react with the sled. HE says that is the stuff that causes issues. Is there any truth to this or just for the carbed sleds? Never had a problem with bad gas. In the fall it starts up like nothing.

I keep an old bed sheet over the sled to let it "breath" and keep it dry out of the sun in my garage.

This is what I do:

- run stabilizer in gas
- fog engine
- wash and clean sled
- touch up an rust sports on frame
- remove battery, charge it and store in the basement for the summer
- grease all the zerks in the skid
- remove belt for the summer
- clean airbox foam
- clean clutches
- store with front and rear suspension off the ground (covered in my shed)
- I also remove the seat and store in basement (away from mice and other small animals)

Phazers are touchy to bad gas, most of us here found out the hard way. Just drain it all and you're sure it won't get any bad stuff next season.

I tought sleds with EFI were really hard to restart when you run them dry of fuel?

* New York has 10% ethanol in their fuel, it separates over time even with Startron in it so I'll drain most of it out rather than leave the crap in there.

*Wash the skid, regrease then WD-40 it up for preventive aluminum oxidation.
* Stuff an oily rag/ steel wool pad in the exhaust end.
* Put some dryer sheets in it (air box, under the seat, panels) for mice control
* Get the track/ skis off the ground (usually set it on a couple of 2x4s)
* Cover it with a sheet


...Then go ride the bike!!!

haven't had any issues yet starting mine after she tapped out, as long as you give the throttle body some time to prime itself (couple turns on the starter) shouldn't have any issues, of course one could always spray starting fluid into the air filter but that just spells bad news

park it in the Garage, take the weight off the skid and front shocks a bit with 2x4's, change the oil, rubber mat under the track............. next Fall, insert key and ride..... been dealing with E10 for 20+ years now in Minnesota and not ONE SINGLE ISSUE.

i take the entire sled apart and go through everything and at the start of November i put it all back together

HAHAHA OMG YOU GUYS DO SUCH DRASTIC MEASURES. I FILL ER UP WITH GAS. PUT STABILIZER IN AND PUT ER IN A SHED. GO IN 1-2 A MONTH START IT UP IN AN ENCLOSED SHED. GET THE FUEMS COOKING IN THERE AND COUGH MY LUNGS OUT AND SHUT THE DOOR. GO BACK 5 WEEKS LATER AND REPEAT

I completely dismantle mine and put into a series of small containers which I store in a germ and moisture free, environmentally sealed hypobaric chamber I have installed under the garage.
