Got snow today and got to do some racing here are the results to what i found.

I got an 03 rx1er with a 9818 track and 192 studs. Stage 3 supertune bought from BBY (matt). Secondary at 90 Deg.The field is about a half mile on hardpack.

first ran two polaris 800's one SKS and one XC. got both out the hole and walked about 7 to 10 sleds everytime. Next a 02 ZR900 but he was not studded so it wasnt even close. Next ran a new REV800 HO with 144 studs he was the closest to me out of anyone. Got him out the hole and at the end of the field had him by about 4 sleds. Every race we switched lines with the same results. There was an 03 firecat F7 but he wouldnt run because he told me he knows what will happen. The next Day I had the chance to race my friends RX1 its an 03er with a 1inch paddle 192studs and a bender heelclicker setup. I got him every time anywhere between 8 and 10 sleds no matter which line. I must say that im more than impressed with this setup and cant believe what a difference such little work did to this sled! My Tach goes to 9800 out the hole then clims to 10200 about mid field. the friend with the RX1 called bender and wanted his money back. Thanks Matt.

What is the Stage 3 supertune. I have gone to Stage 1 then to stage 2 with the smaller rollers and new helix. Never seen the stage 3, what does it consist of.

stage three is a set of lower gears to go with the rest of the setup!!

I went with stage two on my warrior becuase it already has slightly lower gearing!!

WHAT DID THE GUY WITH THE F-7 THINK WAS GONNA HAPPEN THAT HE WOULDNT RACE :?:

The guy with the F7 didnt want to lose because of the way i beat the REV but you know how much sore losers the cat guys are.

Am I correct in understanding that when you gear it down as in the stage 3 kit that you will lose top end? And that the stage 2 kit will increase you bottom end and mid range without sacrificing top end? If it screams out of the hole but falls on its face closing a lake it won't last here in Canada.

From what i was told by BBY,,, You get to 100 faster with the stage 3 kit but loose some topend... How much depends on the sled, weight, track setup etc..

That's correct. You will be quicker, but not as fast.

In most practical drag races with your buddies no one really cares who has the highest top speeds, just who gets there first. How far is a realistic race? 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile races are perfect for lower gearing and trail applications. Looking for that extra 1-5mph in top speed is like comparing the Bonneville salt flats to NHRA drags.

Top speed

Not when you live on a 26 mile lake. Here top end is king. Besides, we do alot of racing from 50 mph, that's when the taller gears kick in. I guess it all depends where you ride.

ME.... I WANT BOTH ,, Quick and topend... Thats why i didnt change the gears!! :D

I am hoping adding the ecp filter kit and jets will overcome the longer , taller track to get it close to the 120mph numbers i have seen on some of the other rx-1s on this site!!

Nice job, just don't get too cocky with that 04 REV rider, remember that his chip isn't burned in yet and it will run better once it is :x

Congrats, Your Dad also called yesterday. Sounds like you guys both did some butt kicking over the weekend.

As for the chip burn in on the REV. It doesnt do harly anything. I had several Ski Doos and NEVER noticed when the chip burned in.

Have a great season...BBY
