Why not much talk about gearing down.I here alot about Rx1 a little slow out of the hole. Reason why I ask is I got beat last year by a 800 xcr that was geared down. He jumped me out of the hole by 1and a half sled length, I did catch him but it was too late. My 03 is stock.

I think the hole shot is more of a traction issue than a gearing problem. The XCR must not have been setup very well if you ran him down. You can go down in gearing without losing much top end, but you need the traction to go with it.
