SO today after 20 km's my suspension broke and bottomed out all the way home. Took it all apart took skid out and saw that the shock weld had let go and on further inspection it was only spot welded on....re welded it with big beeds should not come off again but yet another fail from my yammie. So far since i've owned it at 11000km's I've put 2500km's on it and I've to replace exhaust donuts and weld exhaust back together there were some holes. Blew a belt which is regular wear and tear, replace brake light switch, re weld shock. Anything else going to go? I don't like this feeling, My 97 triple never had any problems and this Apex seems to be adding up.

it's been powder coated but it's good now.
Question I need reassemble procedure? Any can tell me a step by step to put the skid back in the track is still in the need to know do I put front bolts in first raise back end and compress shock? Seems difficult to start front bolts?

I feel your pain. I've replaced my rails and the rear pivot arm and re-welded the W arm so far. Thing is, I have never had a sled that I could ride as hard as my 06 Nytro and I have never put 13000 miles on a sled before. The rails and W arm failed after I re-valved the shocks and the pivot arm failed after I had both shocks fail last year (pitted rods took out the seals). These sleds can cost some bucks to keep on the trail
The up-side is I don't worry about popping pistons any more!

Thank you!
That's where I am at i know the motor is indestructible and the sled is so much fun and FAST but man I can't believe its a Yamaha with these failures its really bugging me.
