Has anyone bent there apex suspension rails.I have a brand new sled I took it around the yard and did a wheelie almost vertical and kinked my rails.I have 1.3 miles on the thing.I can see if I jumped it but what the hell.Does anyone have an apex skid or rails pm if you do.I bent them back sort of and put some crosshafts in to get by for the weekend I'm heady to the snowy range.Thank's
That seems really wierd... I found a bad landing after a jump last winter (bare rock) and broke my goggle lens on the grab strap... Rails were fine

Grape....I bent mine real bad two weeks ago. Both rails went from the facotry 25mm tip up to about a 4" tip up. They bend right where the factory "starts" to bend them. I got mine bent back into shape for the weekend and I got lucky....My new rails showed up today and I'm going to take them with us incase ryan or myself bend them again. With cordless impact tools I can swap out a rail in about 30 minutes. Anyone else bend a set. The frist thing you will notice is your track will start to ratchet. Eric
Grape my bent the same place Eric's did.

I would love to see some pics of these bends.
This sounds whacked.

I wonder if they werent heat treated correctly or at all.
Aluminum thats not heat treated bends easily and can be bent at pretty good angles with out breaking.Once heat treated it becomes much more rigid and usually breaks before it gets bent too far, also harder to drill .

Are these a heat treatable grade??
After looking at the skid, there is approx2' between cross shafts, and Pro 116 said adding another cross shaft may do the trick. I will be doing mine this week, a shaft at the 136" point, and maybe another one in front of that
