I have two Nytro MTX skids with their Maverick tracks on my shop floor right now.
I plan on putting one of the skids on my son's 97 Mountain Max 700 with Nytro MTX skis up front.
The other one will go on my wife's 99 Phazer 500 and she'll get the same MTX skis up front.
Both of the skids are set up with the front shock on full stiff (hardest). The rear transfers rods look to be set for max transfer but, I'm not really sure how the transfer rods work on this skid.
The limiter straps are gone (they took them for their Timbersled skids) so I have no idea where to start their either.
My son weighs about 140 and my wife just under 100 lbs. So if you guys would be kind enough to give me some idea where to set the limiter straps, front shock and transfer rods I'd certainly appreciate the help.
Huh, I just thought of this. I'll need to figure out clutching and gearing too.
Thanks
Frosty
PS: My son and I are also making two decent Ovations for the kids from three. I plan to use the Phazer 500 skid and 121" x 1 3/8" on one Ovation and the 136" track and Mountain Max skid on the other.

WOW! Now that's a perfect answer! I'm printing your attachments. Thanks
I'll go ahead and set them back to the factory position to start (unless you guys think I should start elsewhere)?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll do a separate post for parts needed but, I need some parts the guys removed from the skids before I got them. They originally were going to Timbersled skids and now I think they changed their minds and decided on Easy Ride skids instead. Here's what's missing.
I need two set of rail caps (4) (the front plastic rail tips)
I need two sets (4) upper idlers. They were pulled off the shaft
I need two sets of limiter straps (4)
I could use one set of hifax. One skid is good, on the other skid they are junk
I could use 8 mount bolts for mounting the skids to the frame
The cross shaft that runs through the bottom of the front shock is bent badly. I could use one of these too if anyone has one.
Thanks guys

I made use of my useless MTX rear track and skid and fitted it to a buddies 03 viper. At first the intention was to make a back up mountain sled but now its kinda evolving into a drag sled maybe even for grass. The MTX drivers were pressed onto the viper driveshaft,,with no problem but the clearance to the bulkhead cooler was a bit tight,,,,,soooo had to shave 1/2" or so of the 153' maverick. Helped to stiffen the paddles,,but i dunno if there enough left for a good mountain sled. I think my buddy is kinda excited,,as he has bought some engine mods for the already potent 700 triple,,should be lots of fun.
you should'nt have no trouble i would'nt imagine finding spare parts for a MTX skid as i think most people took them out,,i do see the odd one for sale on snowest,,in the swapmeet
