Sway Bar Link Location

This may be a stupid question but what is the difference in the mounting holes on the sway bar? See pic

One makes the sway bar stiffer, the other makes the sway bar softer.
 
I don't remember for sure, but I believe its the back hole.
 
Thats what I was thinking because the sway bar link would be more angled?? :S
 
The more forward bolt hole position is the stiffer setting for the swaybar as it puts more tension on the bar.
