Yes, makes ride a litttle harsher and improves body roll

Thanks towing for your info. I will order one. Do I need any other parts?

no other parts, just install the 13 mm bar in place of the stock one.

apltx08 is right, you will loose some softness on the front but really improve the body roll and ski lift with a passenger.

I purchase it 3 years ago because i ride 100% time two-up with the wife and was unable to raise the rear high enought to avoid frequent bottoming without getting the body roll really bad. With the 13mm bar, i can run the front shock spring at the lower position wich keep the gravity center lower and crank up the rear skid pretty high without working like crazy in curves.

This year, i shift the rear end at an higher level... :-o

towing--- what kind of skid is on your Venture ?

AD Boivin Expert-X 136" set back 4" on my 144" track. It is the old AD.boivin design skid. It is about twice better than the stock skid in my case, incredible in the 12" ripple moggles.

Snowtrackers carbides system on the skis with the 13mm sway bar and this skid on the RsVenture ... near the ultimate touring machine :-o

Have you ever had an ice build-up problem since you installed the skid?

I made two rides at around -20C and the ice build-up a little less than with the stock skid in the tunnel . But i have to say that it is always one day ride so all the build-up melt at night in the garage. The build-up is more a problem on a multiple days trip at very cold temp...i don't try it yet with this skid... but more snow build-up in this skid for sure....
