I ended up breaking the tabs off of the storage compartment in the seat of my Apex and now whenever I open that area the assembly falls apart and I have to fiddle with it to make it lock up properly. My brother works at a Yamaha outboard dealership and he looked on his fiche and couldn't find these offered as replacement parts. Has anyone else had issues with these things? Seems like a poor design if you ask me, as they don't seem very durable.

I figured it would be kind of hard to decipher what I was getting at. I don't have pictures, but I'll see if I can dig into the fiche to see what pieces came apart. If you (or anyone for that matter) are near your sled, go lift up the flap like you were going to put something in the compartment. On the bottom of the flap that lifts up there is a metal piece that is held on by some little metal jaws that go through the flap and fold over the piece. Kind of hard to explain, I know, but the next time I'm around the sled I'll take in depth pictures

My seat was ripped in the storage area. My friend does upholstery work, and made the repair. He installed chrome fasteners, just like the originals. The chrome ones must be a standard item used by upholsterers.
